About The Small Works Gallery
These “small works” are sized 8″ x 8″, 8″ x 10″, and 10″ x 10″, with or without frames.
There are two different collections of Small Works. The first 9 pieces are acrylic painting with a gold background, symbolizing wealth and all of its power. Then there are hints of red, with its fiery strength and power, black for power and mystery and white for its pureness, and very small hints of blues and purples.
The second 9 pieces are printmaking or gelli printing works on archival paper mounted onto gallery wrapped canvas in various shapes and sizes. The printmaking itself has been completed over the last several years and is fun and very addictive to make. I had a hard time deciding which prints to cut up and mount. All in all, it was a very satisfying activity to take a print from years past and transform it into a current work of art. (Kudos to Roben-Marie Smith – Art for the idea.)
